Quick Kalbi

One of the cons (or pro, I guess, depending on how you look at it) of living in a suburb, Faaaarrr away from the "city" is that you don't live near any cheap, good asian restaurants...as such, whenever we have the desire to eat asian (which is quite often!), i now have to learn to make it!

Currently, one of my favorite quick meals is to make Kalbi (korean ribs) using Mr. Yoshida's sauce. For sure you can get this from Sam's (not sure if you can get it anywhere else).

Just pour on ribs and add the following if you want to, minced garlic (from a jar), green onions, and sesame seeds. Marinate overnight and pan fry or grill the next day. I've had lots of kalbi over the years and honestly, this version tastes just as good as from a restaurant or made from scratch, and most importantly, it's so easy!

I'm always on the lookout for delicious, easy recipes (esp with Payton always wanting to "help mommy" in the kitchen. Please share with me if you have any! :)

  2. Hi Janice - they have the ribs at the Sam's here in Illinois, so you could try there. Also, maybe fiesta? For sure, they would have them at Hmart or Kmart in Dallas.
