Payton's microwave experiment

Payton has become very adept at observing and mimicking us. Here he is trying to work the microwave and along the way, expressing his frustrations.

Passport photos

We're in process of getting a passport for Payton. I decided to take a photo of him myself. It was tougher than I thought, because of all the requirements: in front of a white wall, 2 in by 2 in, facing forward, between 1 in to 1 3/8 from chin to top of head... next time, we will probably just go to a passport photo place...

take 1
take 2

take 3 (too close to door crack)
take 4

good enough.... (just need to white out top of daddy's head)

Super Bug

So...I got up this morning, went into the bathroom, and felt something light on my foot. I look down, and it is the largest cockroach I have ever seen in the five years we've been in Dallas. I think it was at least 2 inches long and the fact that it was on my foot, freaked me out even more. So, what's a girl to do? I woke up my husband of course, to get rid of it... Unfortunately, when my brave hubby tried to capture it, it ran behind the toilet tank, and wouldn't come out... I hope it has left our apartment...Thank goodness I have no pictures of cockroaches...so, here is one of Payton...

Happy Helper

Recently, we learned that Payton knows where dirty diapers go. I had left a rolled up dirty diaper on the floor and Payton promptly picked it up and walked it over to the diaper champ and dropped it in. Ever since then, if I remember, I leave his diapers for him to put in the trash, because it seems to make him happy and proud. See for yourself in this video I took of him....

Hmmm, I wonder when he can do other household chores? :)

So much fun

Recently found this indoor playground at the Galleria. We've only gone twice, but Payton absolutely LOVES this place. We spend almost an hour there earlier this week and literally, he laughed almost the entire time. If anyone knows of other places like this in Dallas, please let me know! :)

Made it back...Alive!

Over Christmas and New Year's, we spent 2 weeks in Houston and Miami Beach with friends and family. It's always great to see everyone, but this holiday was a little bit tougher than normal...Between the three of us, here were our ailments... shingles, torn miniscus (sp?), 2 ear infections, roseola, fevers, and countless colds/coughs... Now that we've been back in dallas for a week and a half now, we are definitely all cruising on the road to recovery. Antibiotics and medicines have been completed, Mike's knee surgery was a success, Payton's ear infections and roseola are gone.... here are just a some photos from our time over Christmas....

I LOVE playing with balloons!

Here are my good friends Emil and Ethan..Do you like our matching shirts?

This remote control is much more interesting than taking another picture with my friends Ethan, Lydia, and our daddies.

I wish I could play the wii with Auntie Harriet and Uncle Chuck, but I just can't figure it out.

This is my good buddy Ethan...

Here I am wearing my Korean birthday outfit, surrounded by traditional Korean foods. Mommy's holding me up, so that I don't fall over, because this outfit is heavy...

Hanging out with grandma, grandpa, and cousin Lukas.

Playing at the beach for the first time! with Po Po
and Gong Gong
while mommy and daddy went jetskiing...

This is what I looked like after I got sand in my eye for the first time... :(

I love my Cousin Lukas very much!
and it's so fun playing with cousin Christen, although I wished she would push me around on the toy too!
